FIRST DAYS IN WIEN
My apartment is in the center, close to the StadtPark, Stefansdom, Hofburg, Dunau, ..everything is really close to here. Also my work is only walking distance from here.Yesterday, my sisters boyfriend showed me around .. told me where to get cheap meat, vegetables, where to exchange money.. where to go, where to not go....now I will continue exploring.. everyday a little bit.
Yesterday I visited StefansDom, a cathedral which was dedicated to Saint Stefan (Stepan in Czech). Built mostly in 15th century, this building has some parts from early 13th century (main Gate and two towers). Inside you can find tombs of members of Habsburk family.
When approaching Stefans Dom from the back, I saw this work and thought that its just a beautiful wooden work..NO.. this is made of stone. Detailed work!I will continue my Wien walks and provide you with some more interesting pictures.
I dont have very good internet access, but I hope to be able to post at least a little bit every day.

Mexico City

I visited the ruins of
My friend Roberto dedicated part of his life to the National Autonomous University of Mexico. After visiting the center of Mexico City, we went to see also the university. The main campus is in Coyoacan and is actually a small town on its own, the area is huge and very nice, somewhere you can see rests of the lava flows from the nearby volcano. I was astonished by the amazing library which is decorated with Aztec and Spanish motives. This is how it looks from both inside and outside.

My trip followed in the city typical with its Spaniard architecture –
Zinacantan
Chamula

I also visited Chamula. Chamula is the only city not defeated by Spaniards and has an unique status of autonomies different from other parts of Mexico. Mexican government has to ask them for permission whenever it wants to somehow interfere into local affairs. In the church, you can see amazing combination of Christianity and peagan traditions – sacrifizing, shamans (its not allowed to take picture in the church).
Pleas follow the short Woman Revenge story which occured in front of the main church :-) Women are strong!
