KARLSKIRCHE

There was a tragic epidemie of Plague in Wien in 1713. The emperor, Karel VI, had shortly after the epidemie initiated the construction of a church decisated to St. Karel Bartolomejsky - patron who was supppose to saves people from any similar tragedy.

The thoroughly decoragted columns present passages of Karel´s life.
